James Tannahill

James Tannahill founded Plocamium Holdings to acquire and build operationally intensive businesses in healthcare, industrials, and national security. As President, he directs capital allocation and portfolio strategy across North America and Latin America.

Mr. Tannahill built the firm’s proprietary intelligence network, an entity graph tracking 500+ companies across six signal dimensions.

Before Plocamium, he ran corporate development and M&A execution at Vaxart (Nasdaq: VXRT), the oral vaccine developer. He started on Wall Street in healthcare equity research, then held roles in alternative data at Jefferies and defense-sector AI at Accrete.ai, where he worked on machine-learning systems for the U.S. Department of Defense.

Mr. Tannahill sits on the Board of RDLB, a capital markets communications firm. He founded 1NESS Strategies, which runs compliance-first growth campaigns for healthcare and regulated industries across the Americas.

He is a Partner at Student Sponsor Partners, a New York nonprofit that funds high school scholarships for low-income students. He belongs to the Young Presidents’ Organization and The Economic Club of New York. He co-founded NewYorkLab, which maps climate risk in urban systems.

Mr. Tannahill earned an MBA in finance and strategy from Cornell University’s Johnson School, an M.S. in Biotechnology from the University of Essex, and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Denison University.

He races sailboats offshore and spends his time away from the shop floor outdoors with his partner, Sydney.
