About James Tannahill

James Tannahill is President of Plocamium Holdings, a private investment firm deploying capital across complex, operationally intensive businesses in healthcare services, industrial manufacturing, and national security. With a mandate rooted in long-term value creation and operational transformation, James leads strategy, capital allocation, and portfolio company development across North American and Latin American markets.

In 2025, James joined the Board of RDLB, a global brand strategy and communications firm serving institutional capital markets, where he advises on strategic positioning and growth infrastructure for clients navigating capital formation and stakeholder engagement.

James is co-founder of 1NESS STRATEGIES, a compliance-first digital marketing firm serving regulated industries. The firm's proprietary frameworks integrate AI-driven growth strategies with diligence-ready compliance architectures, enabling sustainable patient acquisition and brand development in healthcare and other highly regulated sectors.

Prior to his current roles, James served as Assistant Vice President of Strategic Finance at Vaxart (Nasdaq: VXRT), where he led corporate development, strategic planning, and cross-functional M&A execution. He began his career in healthcare equity research on Wall Street before transitioning to alternative data and investment intelligence roles at M Science, a Jefferies company (NYSE: JEF), and later held strategic positions at Accrete.ai, a defense-focused AI platform.

James is a Partner at Student Sponsor Partners, a New York-based nonprofit expanding educational access and mentorship for underserved high school students. He is an active member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and The Economic Club of New York.

As a founding member of NewYorkLab, James supports the development of data-driven environmental intelligence infrastructure aimed at quantifying climate risk in urban systems, with initial focus on extreme heat exposure across New York City's transit network.

James holds an MBA from Cornell University's SC Johnson College of Business, where he concentrated in finance and strategy, an M.S. in Biotechnology from the University of Essex, and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Denison University. His interdisciplinary training spans life sciences, institutional finance, and applied technology development.

James is an avid offshore sailor and enjoys exploring the outdoors with his partner, Sydney.
