James Tannahill

James Tannahill is President of Plocamium Holdings, a private investment firm deploying capital and strategic resources across operationally intensive businesses in healthcare, industrials, and national security. Mr. Tannahill leads firm strategy, capital allocation, and portfolio development across North American and Latin American markets.

Prior to founding Plocamium, Mr. Tannahill led corporate development and M&A execution at Vaxart (Nasdaq: VXRT), a clinical-stage biotechnology company. He began his career in healthcare equity research on Wall Street before holding strategic roles spanning alternative data at Jefferies and defense-sector artificial intelligence at Accrete.ai.

Mr. Tannahill serves on the Board of RDLB, a global brand strategy and capital markets communications firm. He founded 1NESS Strategies, a compliance-first growth practice serving healthcare and regulated industries across the Americas.

Mr. Tannahill is a Partner at Student Sponsor Partners, a New York-based nonprofit expanding educational access for underserved students, and a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and The Economic Club of New York. He is a founding member of NewYorkLab, a data-driven environmental intelligence initiative focused on climate risk in urban systems.

Mr. Tannahill holds an MBA from Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business, an M.S. in Biotechnology from the University of Essex, and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Denison University.

Mr. Tannahill is an avid offshore sailor and spends his time outside the shop floor exploring the outdoors with his partner, Sydney.
