James Tannahill is President of Plocamium Holdings, a private equity and specialized services firm focused on long-term value creation. He leads global strategy, capital deployment, and post-investment transformation across sectors including healthcare services, national security, and industrial packaging. In 2025, James joined the Board of RDLB, a global brand and communications agency specializing in capital formation, strategic positioning, and growth-driven storytelling.
James is co-founder of 1nessAgency, a growth and marketing firm delivering AI-driven, automated, ethical, and compliant strategies for retail healthcare businesses.
Earlier in his career, James served as Assistant Vice President of Strategic Finance at Vaxart (Nasdaq: VXRT), where he led corporate development and strategic planning. He began on Wall Street in a healthcare equity research analyst program, later holding investment research and data product roles at M Science (a Jefferies company, NYSE: JEF), followed by strategic roles at AI defense contractor Accrete.ai.
James is a partner at Student Sponsor Partners, a nonprofit dedicated to mentorship and expanding private school access for at-risk high school students in New York City. He is also an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and The Economic Club of New York.
As a founding member of NewYorkLab, James advances a data-driven environmental intelligence platform focused on quantifying climate-related risks in urban infrastructure—beginning with extreme heat exposure in New York City’s transit systems.
He holds an MBA from the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University, where he specialized in finance and strategy. He also earned an M.S. in Biotechnology from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom, and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Denison University. His academic foundation bridges life sciences, strategic finance, and applied innovation.
James enjoys offshore sailing and exploring the outdoors. He can often be found hiking alongside his partner, Sydney.
